According to an ancient belief, Hanuman was born in Gumla, Jharkhand. A cave here is believed to be his birthplace. That's why this place got its name.

It is believed that Hanuman was born in a cave in Aanjan village, about 21 km from the district headquarters of Gumla in Jharkhand. That's why this place got its name. Not only this, due to being the residence of Mata Anjani, this place is also known as Anjaneya. For information, let us tell you that there is also a cave in these holy mountains which is directly related to the Ramayana period. Mata Anjani used to come to this place every day to worship Lord Shiva and for this reason 360 Shivalingas are installed here.
