Bhubaneshwari Temple, Jamshedpur
The magnificent Bhubaneshwari Temple, dedicated to the goddess of the cosmos, is positioned atop Bhubaneshwari Hill (approximately 500 feet). The highest point in Jamshedpur, it provides breathtaking views of the city. This location is part of the Tata Motors colony and is the highest point in Jamshedpur, from which you can see the entire city.
The temple is built in the traditional South Indian architectural style and features a 32-foot-high sanctum sanctorum with an imposing image of the goddess. Devotees and temple officials both believe that the temple's eight pillars house the various incarnations of the presiding deity. Swami Ranga Rajan, a Tamil priest, built it in 1978 and it is now placed in the Tata Motors Colony. It is also often referred to as the Telco Bhubaneshwari Temple.
