Goa Waterfall Chatra

The Goa Waterfall is an outstanding natural wonder hidden in the heart of Jharkhand, reflecting the region's breathtaking beauty and peaceful setting. This beautiful waterfall, located near the Sadar police station in Chatra, is easily accessible and provides a refreshing getaway into nature. Goa Waterfall is located around six kilometers west of Chatra on the way to Maloodah. It is accessible by jeep for up to 4.5 kilometers, with the remaining 1.5 kilometers covered on foot.

The wonderful waterfall cascades over rocky cliffs, providing a fascinating spectacle that draws the attention of those who visit. The waterfall's visual appeal is enhanced by the area's distinctive topography, which frames it with lush vegetation and impenetrable woodlands, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the quiet surroundings. The early morning hours are calm, with soft light pouring through the trees, while the evenings convert the environment into a mystical realm. Although the waterfall's stony depths may make swimming difficult, it is an ideal location for enjoying the refreshing spray and calming sounds of nature.

The water falls into the reservoir from a height of 30 feet. There are rocks on all three sides, with a reservoir in the middle. Every Monday during the month of Shrawan (rains), a large crowd gathers here to take a swim and enjoy the fall. It is the nearest picnic site in Chatra District. The surrounding village provides a look into local life, with a few stores serving basic requirements. Overall, Goa Waterfall Chatra is more than simply a destination; it is an experience that captures the spirit of natural beauty and peacefulness, making it a must-see for both nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers.
