Story of Magnolia Sunset Point, Netarhat

It is believed that an English officer adored Netarhat. He had a bachelorette daughter, Magnolia. A shepherd in the area would go to Sunset Point every day to feed his livestock. He played the flute quite well. Magnolia fell in love with the shepherd after hearing the lovely sound of his flute. She used to go to see him every day near the sunset point, where the shepherd would play the flute for her.

When the British officer learned about this, he ordered the shepherd to be executed. When Magnolia learned of this, she jumped into the endless depths of the valley with her horse, separated from the shepherd, and sacrificed her life.

The Latehar district administration has installed a statue of magnolia and a shepherd at this location. This reminds us of a love story.
